iPad mini 6th generation (2021) and its design
Recently, there has been a passionate discussion about what the next generation iPad mini will look like. If we look at its current fifth version, we can easily see that it has hardly changed compared to the first one (2012). Although the design has undergone minor „corrections“, it is basically almost the same, and let’s face it, it’s obsolete.
There are speculations about two different directions in which the iPad mini can be chosen in the near future. Some say its design will mimic the current 4th generation iPad Air, which would mean flat edges and a larger 8.9 „display.
The latter are supporters of the opinion that the new model will get the design of the iPad Air 3rd generation and thus rounded edges, but a larger – approx. 8.4 „display – in this case, its shape would be preserved.
As long as we have not seen any physical evidence so far (such as photos of the chassis, instructions, display, etc.), we decided to stick to the first version when creating the concept, as we found it innovative and necessary after 9 years.
Concept
The iPad mini of the 6th generation, created and presented by the svetapple.sk editorial office have got flat edges and overall it is a „miniature“ of last year’s iPad Air. The diagonal of the Liqid Retina display with a resolution of 2360×1640 pixels is 8.9-inch (originally 7.9 „) and the display unit has 500 nits, TrueTone function and P3 color spectrum support.
The Touch ID fingerprint scanning system located in the upper lock button takes care of unlocking. There is a 7MP FaceTime HD camera on the front and a 12MP f / 1.8 lens at the back. iPad mini 6th generation can support Smart HDR 3 or Portrait mode, which brings us to its performance.
The Apple A14 Bionic processor, in conjunction with 4GB of RAM, can handle any demanding task and will be very efficient. The device also takes into account the Neural Engine and other capabilities that this modern chip offers.
The smallest iPad can be available with 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage + LTE version. The USB-C port will be used for charging, replacing the classic Lighnting. Finally, we also counted on the support of the Apple Pencil 2nd generation, which could be attached to the side edge of the device.
Take a look at the entire photo gallery and write us in the comments how you liked our concept. Don’t forget to add if you think it could real at all. Finally, we’ve taken a little tweaking the 8.4″ version (based on the 3rd generation iPad Air) so you can imagine what an iPad mini 6th generation might look like if our expectations aren’t met.
