Redesigned Mac Pro

As you know, the ARM platform allows to reduce the size of computers. Thanks to advanced technologies, the new Mac Pro is expected to „shrink“ significatly. Anyway, its performance will be even better compared to the top versions with Intel processors (which are still on sale).

Jon Prosser (78,6% accuracy) said, that the redesigned Mac Pro will be similiar to size of three Mac mini computers stacked on each other. We used this theory in our editorial office and the shape we designed resembles a simple cube with rounded edges. To make it clear that this is a Mac Pro, we have also added a few iconic design elements, such as metal handles at the top or classic ventiltion grill, that resembles a cheese grater. It also has a functional side and if the temperature inside the aluminium chassis rises significatly, ventilation grill can drain it outwards.

Connectivity

We have incorporated many connectors into the rear part of the structure for ideal connectivity. There is a 6x USB-C Thunderbold 3 port, 4x USB-A port, 2x HDMI, 2x Ethernet and 1 MagSafe charging port. At the top there are two more USB-C ports, a power button, LED and slide-out handle to remove the entire Mac Pro’s aluminium chassis. This is just for case you need to check hardware inside.

Power

Our concept stands on four elegant legs and it shares a number of characterisic elements with the classic Mac Pro 2019. At firts glance it is clear which computer it is refering to.

If you are interested in possible technical parameters of the device, they were outlined by leaker Mark Gurman (88,7% accuracy) from Bloomberg in his recent leak:

„A redesigned Mac Pro is planned to come in 20 or 40 computing core variations, made up of 16 high-performance or 32 high-performance cores and four or eight high-efficiency cores. The chips would also include either 64 core or 128 core options for graphics. The computing core counts top the 28 core maximum offered by today’s Intel Mac Pro chips, while the higher-end graphics chips would replace parts now made by Advanced Micro Devices Inc.“
